On behalf of Proactive Genomics, I am writing with news and updates regarding the Focus5 test for prostate cancer risk prediction.

We are not currently offering the Focus5 test, and there are several important reasons for this. Primarily, we continue to navigate the regulatory standards that have been put in place to protect patients. Although this has slowed down the release of Focus5 in the short-term, we fully recognize the long-term benefits.

This additional time has been put to good use, as Proactive Genomics has worked to improve the Focus5 test. Our newest research findings have confirmed the clinical utility of Focus5, while also uncovering additional complexity. Although I am unable to disclose details at this time, I can say that the Focus5 product is quickly evolving into a more powerful test for prostate cancer.

Looking ahead to the day when we can offer this test, I also want to say that Proactive Genomics is committed to delivering more than just an accurate risk prediction result. We want to make sure patients have all of the information they will need before, during, and after the testing process. Therefore, when this test is offered, we will require the involvement of a healthcare provider that is licensed to order medical tests. This is just one small step we can take to ensure the information we provide is used to make appropriate medical decisions.
